Luis Suarez has revealed Sergio Ramos is the toughest defender he’s ever come up against.
The Barcelona striker has had no problem finding the net since joining the Spanish giants from Liverpool in a £75million move two summers ago.
He hit 25 goals in 43 games last season as Barca won a treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League.
And the Uruguayan has followed that up with 10 in his first 13 this term – his weekend hat-trick the latest in his goalscoring exploits.
Suarez even managed to notch past Ramos and Real Madrid last season in a 2-1 win at the Camp Nou for Barca.
But that still doesn’t change his opinion that the Spanish international is the best defender he’s ever faced.
He told Mundo Deportivo:
He’s the toughest defender that I’ve come up against. He’s very strong, competitive and has plenty of experience.
That’s one of the reasons why there is added importance on the goal I scored against Real Madrid at Camp Nou.
Suarez will next face off against Ramos when Barcelona travel to Santiago Bernabeu on November 21st in La Liga.
The former Liverpool favourite better hope the Spaniard has an off day.
