Mesut Ozil on Bayern Munich Victory: Screaming is Bad For Your Voice But Good For the Heart

Mesut Ozil on Bayern Munich Victory: Screaming is Bad For Your Voice But Good For the Heart

Mesut Ozil scored the crucial second goal which handed Arsenal a surprising 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich last night.

And the German international has since taken to social media to share his joy at having played a part in his team’s European success.

Arsene Wenger had claimed pre-match that the Gunners would not to seal a victory against Bayern in either the home or away match, if they were to fulfil their ambition of qualifying for the next round.

And thanks to an Olivier Giroud goal and Ozil’s late strike, Arsenal’s bid to reach the last 16 appears to be back on track – despite shock defeats to both Olympiakos and Dinamo Zagreb earlier in the campaign.

Ozil, 27, Tweeted the following this morning:

The midfielder’s strike wasn’t exactly the most powerful or assertive finish…

However as replays soon showed, Ozil’s fellow countryman Manuel Neuer couldn’t keep the ball from trickling over the line, with the official eventually ruling that the goal would stand.

The result will surely have an added edge for Ozil as he managed to get one over on several of his international teammates, including Neuer and Jerome Boateng.
