It’s quite common for professional athletes to be superstitious – especially when it comes to footballers.
Some of Arsenal’s first-team stars have today been revealing their own personal superstitions and how they try to conquer them.
The video includes short interviews with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Hector Bellerin and Mikel Arteta, as they discuss their strange habits and pre-match rituals.
And by the sounds of it, they pretty much seem to be taking over the Ox’s life before he sets foot on the pitch.
The England winger explains how he never walks over an odd number of drains in the street and that he must perform a bizarre hopping routine before taking to the field.
Some of the Emirates stars’ other quirks include what they eat and how they put their kits on before a match.
