Jan Verthongen probably thought being tackled by an NFL cornerback would be fun.
He thought wrong.
The Tottenham Hotspur defender popped by a community day being held at the club’s training ground earlier today.
It was organised to mark the visit of the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars to London ahead of their game at Wembley on Sunday.
Several members of the Spurs team turned up, including Toby Alderweireld and Moussa Dembele – and they joined in with some of the Bills team for a number of different soccer (for the purpose of telling the difference) and football games.
It all started with a playful game of keepy-ups:

And it soon escalated into Verthongen being melted by Brooks – a Bills cornerback since being drafted in 2012:

Luckily for Spurs fans the defender was quickly back up to his feet and smiling about it.
He’ll be setting off for his homeland tomorrow ahead of Tottenham’s Europa League away clash with Anderlecht.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men opened up their European campaign with a 3-1 win over Qarabag at White Hart Lane before travelling to Monaco three weeks ago to pick up a point after a hard-fought 1-1 draw.
