Lewis Hamilton celebrated his third F1 World Championship on Sunday after victory in the US Grand Prix in Austin.
But Hamilton wasn’t offered sincere congratulations by everyone after the historic win.
Footage has emerged of his team-mate Nico Rosberg throwing his podium cap at the Englishman in the aftermath of the race, whilst looking clearly underwhelmed by events.
After congratulating his team-mate with a handshake in the holding room where the top three-finishing drivers gather before going onto the winner’s podium, a dejected Rosberg angrily threw back the baseball cap which Hamilton had tossed to him moments before….

Awkward! Rosberg later played down the incident, describing it as “just our typical games” to Sky Sports News.
It’s no secret that there is very little love lost between the pair, and the two Mercedes drivers had earlier clashed at the start of a dramatic GP when their cars made contact at the first corner.
In the post-race press conference, Rosberg complained to the media:
It was extremely aggressive.
We hit each other – or Lewis came into me.
It’s tough to lose the lead like that and to lose the win.
