Wayne Gretzky is a big football fan – but don’t expect him to pick it over hockey.
The Canadian – arguably the NHL’s greatest ever player – visited White Hart Lane in September as he took in Tottenham’s Capital One Cup clash with North London rivals Arsenal.
Gretzky’s name hit headlines at the time after Spurs mistakenly spelled his name wrong on the back of a shirt they were giving to him as a gift.
They were forced to apologise to the Edmonton Oilers and LA Kings legend and promise to send him a new one with his surname spelled correctly.
But they did manage to get an interview with the ‘Great One’, where they quizzed him on a number of topics, including his favourite Kane – Patrick or Harry – and his preference for yellow cards or sin bins.
Unsurprisingly, Gretzky just couldn’t bring himself to picking Spurs striker Harry Kane over Chicago Blackhawks star man Patrick Kane:
