“He’s One of Our Own” – Rangers Fans Lap Up Scott Allan’s Goal Mistake

Former Rangers target Scott Allan is finally starting to find his way into the Celtic first team after coming on as a substitute in Saturday’s Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership 0-0 draw with Kilmarnock before replacing Gary Mackay-Steven during tonight’s Europa League clash with Kilmarnock.

However, the 23-year-old may have wished he had stayed on the bench after producing the mistake which led to Ajax’s winning goal two minutes from time.

The former West Brom starlet had put in a very good shift until then playing through a fantastic defence-splitting pass for Leigh Griffiths, who inevitably missed, before playing his part in another near miss not long from the end.

A short corner from Stuart Armstrong was enough to overshadow all of that though as Allan failed to get his footing right for a shot before losing possession and allowing the Dutch side to break up the park and grab a winner.

It was a mistake which Ajax fans loved and they were joined by Rangers fans on Twitter who couldn’t help but get a dig on the player they missed out on in the summer.

However, many Celtic fans were quick to show support for the youngster:
