Injured Daniele De Rossi Goes Crazy in the Stands as Roma Beat Lazio in the Rome Derby

Roma took home the spoils in Sunday’s Rome derby, comfortably beating bitter rivals Lazio 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico.

Goals from Edin Dzeko (a hugely controversial penalty) and Gervinho sealed all three points for Rudi Garcia’s men in a derby which was boycotted by both sets of ultras in a protest over security measures imposed by the Italian FA and Italian police force.

But one man who was in the stands was injured Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi, who has been ruled out for several weeks after sustaining a thigh injury on training.

De Rossi is not only a Roma player but a Roma fanatic; the midfielder grew up supporting the Giallorossi and feels every defeat and every victory just like the die-hard fans.

And all of the World Cup winner’s emotions were on show during Sunday’s win, as he was caught on camera celebrating his side’s second goal with all of the gusto and enthusiasm as one of the ultras.

In the modern age of money-obsessed multi-millionaire footballers, it’s heart-warming to see a player who still cares so much!
