Jamie Vardy has set the English Premier goalscoring record with a new pair of golden Nike boots.
The Leicester City striker has been a revelation this season and his strike against Newcastle at St James’ Park last week saw him equal Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of scoring in 10 consecutive top-flight games.
Now the Englishman has made it 11-in-a-row against Manchester United at the King Power today with a brilliant 24th-minute goal.
Running on to Christian Fuchs’ through ball, Vardy and his golden boots emphatically put the ball beyond David de Gea to open the scoring for the Foxes.
The boots are actually part of Nike’s new Liquid Chrome Pack, which was released this week.
Vardy’s record aside, if Leicester can win then they’ll move back to the top of the league by two points and continue their outstanding start to the Premier League season.
