Lionel Messi’s New Boots Unveiled Ahead of His Return Against Real Madrid

Barcelona were handed a massive boost ahead of Saturday’s clash with Real Madrid as Lionel Messi returned to full training this week.

The Argentine superstar had been out with a knee injury for the past seven weeks after suffering a knock in their La Liga match against Las Palmas back in September.

But now the club’s talisman forward looks set to make his highly-anticipated return at the Bernabeu during the first Clasico of the season.

Messi has unveiled his new footwear , courtesy of Adidas, ahead of the top-two meeting in Madrid.

The new design is a little different from what we’ve come to expect from the world’s greatest player in recent seasons.

Staying clear of his usual brightly coloured red or yellow footwear, Messi will sport black boots which include a luminous red and green pattern.

You can check them out in the post below.

Barca go into Saturday night’s match knowing that a win could see them open up a six-point gap at the top of the table.
