Manchester United Fans Rage on Twitter After James Wilson Signs Loan Deal With Brighton

Manchester United have confirmed that their teenage striker James Wilson is set to join Championship side Brighton on a loan deal for the rest of the season.

And while the move will surely benefit Wilson – the Seagulls are flying high in the second tier and remain unbeaten this season – some United fans have seriously questioned the decision to let the 19-year-old go.

Louis Van Gaal’s options are already limited upfront with Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial struggling for fitness in recent weeks – forcing the Dutchman to rely heavily on goals from midfield.

Wilson is of course seen as an ideal solution in the long-term but it also appears that most supporters wanted the Englishman to be given a run of games in the senior side this season.

Van Gaal was heavily criticised for failing to sign a striker during the summer transfer window and his decision to loan out such an exciting prospect will do little to endear him to the Old Trafford faithful.

United travel to the King Power Stadium to play an in-form Leicester City on Saturday afternoon, meanwhile Wilson could make his Brighton bow against Birmingham.
