Twitter Has its Say on Colin Kaepernick’s 49ers Future

Colin Kaepernick’s San Francisco 49ers career could be over after he was placed on injured reserve today.

It means the quarterback won’t throw another ball this season as he undergoes surgery on his non-throwing shoulder.

As for his future, he may not throw another ball as a 49er given his hugely disappointing form this season which led the team to bench him at the start of November.

As long as he can pass a medical for next season, the 49ers won’t have to pay him anything beyond this year if they cut him.

Judging by the reaction of most people, that looks like the most likely outcome for Kaepernick – who at one time looked like a franchise QB in San Francisco – once he regains his fitness.

But what happens after that? Could he end up at the Eagles? The Rams? Will anyone pick him up?
