Ajax are in town to take on Celtic in the Europa League this evening and their fans are certainly making themselves heard.
Around 3000 fans of the Dutch club have travelled over for the do-or-die Europa League tie at Parkhead, and they’ve been making their presence felt in the city centre this afternoon.
Groups of Ajax fans have been seen marching through the city centre, Merchant City and Gallowgate, many waving Rangers banners and singing anti-Celtic songs.

And ahead of kick-off, the fans from the Netherlands required close attention by police, with groups becoming so large and emphatic that police in the city centre were forced to kettle the supporters…

Both teams go head-to-head knowing that realistically a win is needed to keep alive hopes of progressing to the competition’s last-32.
There is a scenario where both Ajax and Celtic can actually be mathematically eliminated tonight should the result between Fenerbahce and Molde in Norway conspire against them.
