We can’t understand why Sonny Bill Williams is getting so much praise for giving his winner’s medal away to a young fan. I mean, he already has one, why does he need two?
It turns out that All Blacks star Bill Williams might actually be the nicest man alive on the planet today.
The New Zealand centre came off the bench to set up Ma’a Nonu’s second half try which stretched the All Blacks lead to 21-3 over Australia, and played a big part in helping his side secure their second straight Webb Ellis trophy with an eventual 34-17 result.
Bill Williams and his jubilant team-mates were doing a lap of the Twickenham pitch as 14-year-old All Blacks fan Charlie Lines rushed onto the grass to try and meet his idols.
As he jumped over the hoardings, he was cruelly tackled by a security guard, with Bill Williams forced to intervene and help the lad out of his spot of bother.

And Charlie couldn’t believe his luck when Bill Williams picked him off the floor and placed the winning medal round his neck.
