You may think Friday would be considered a crucial day in any team’s week.
With the weekend’s action just around the corner, it’s the final chance for managers and players to get their final preparations in ahead of the next big game.
That is, of course, unless you play for Barcelona.
The Barca stars were given some surprise time off by boss Luis Enrique ahead of Sunday’s clash with Villareal at the Nou Camp.
Instead of training, the entire squad took their families to PortAventura, a theme park located near the south of Barcelona.
The park, which is usually only opened on weekends around this time of year, granted special access to the European champions – and it looks like a good day was had by all.
A club statement said: “The idea came from head coach Luis Enrique and was very well received by the team.
“The coaching staff’s philosophy holds that unconventional days like these are part of the team’s training.
“It’s not every day that a group of world-class footballers can enjoy a day of fun with their loved ones.”
