It’s not been a great 12 months or so for Danny Welbeck.

Since leaving Manchester United for Arsenal in the summer of 2014, the striker has been ravaged by injuries, and has endured pretty much a nightmare spell in north London.

He managed just four league goals last season, and hasn’t yet featured for the Gunners in the Premier League this term.

And his limited appearances have cost the 24-year-old his place amongst Roy Hodgson’s forwards in the England squad, with a spot in the group going to France for the Euros next year now seriously in doubt.

But, with any luck, Welbeck’s injury hell will soon be a thing of the past, with a first team return said to be just around the corner.

And what’s the best way to celebrate coming back from a lengthy spell on the sidelines?

Take over your club’s Snapchat account of course….

Yip, Welbeck, who celebrates his 25th birthday tomorrow, has been spending most of his Wednesday afternoon sending out video and picture messages to the Gunners’ followers on the social media account, with one or two players coming in for a bit of special treatment…

Poor Gabriel, he seems so innocent!

Welbeck’s brilliant Snapchat story was then followed up by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

But, unfortunately for the English wideman, there were no players around for him to have a laugh with so he had to abandon his stint early.

You can follow Arsenal on Snapchat @officialafc and check out their latest story.
