Along with the majority of his team mates (well, everyone of them apart from Willian) Diego Costa is a shadow of the player he was last season as his side slumped to another defeat in the Premier League during today’s clash with Stoke.
Chelsea travelled to the Britannia without their manager after Jose Mourinho was handed a stadium ban last week following an altercation with the officials during the defeat to West Ham a fortnight ago.
However, his absence made no difference as the Blues slumped to their third Premier League defeat in a row meaning they have now lost seven games from their opening twelve.
The former Atletico Madrid player is still up to his old tricks though as he played the pantomime villain throughout the clash with Stoke this evening clashing with half the team – especially Ryan Shawcross, who’s skin Costa tried to get underneath by telling him he smelled.

Shawcross did have the last laugh, however, as his side trumped Chelsea to a 1-0 victory.
