David Beckham’s all-star game for UNICEF featured some of the biggest and best footballers of the past 20 years and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
The likes of Ronaldinho, Paul Scholes, Michael Owen and even Beckham himself all proved that they’ve still got it with an array of skills, flicks, tricks and passes, leaving the crowd full satisfied with their afternoon entertainment.
But one player on the pitch who didn’t receive as warm a welcome as his contemporaries was former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.
With the match being played at Old Trafford, it appears the stands were populated predominantly by Manchester United fans, as Carragher was singled out for a chorus of boos every time he touched the ball…

But, eventually, the man who played over 600 times for United’s bitter rivals had to respond, giving the fans a taste of their own medicine…

We’re almost at pantomime season after all, so it was only appropriate that there was a villain amongst the ensemble cast. Well played, Jamie.
