Jeremy Corbyn has thrown his support behind Arsene Wenger and Arsenal to win the English Premier League this season.
The Labour leader has never hid the fact he’s a Gunner and even supported a bill in Parliament which labelled them “the best club football team in the world”.
He’s now firmly in the race to become the next Prime Minister after winning the Labour leadership contest in September this year.
Corbyn was appearing on TV this week and, while discussing a whole host of more serious issues, he was asked what he believed would come first – Labour winning a general election or Arsenal winning a league title.
And while he hoped the general election victory would come very soon, he told everyone “in Arsenal we trust”:

That will be music to the ears of Arsenal supporters wondering who they should vote for next time they have to decide on the new leader of Great Britain.
And they’ll be glad it’s Corbyn and not David Cameron who is tipping them for the title.
The Prime Minister is believed to hold a ‘Curse of Cameron’ after attending a host of big English sporting events only to see the teams fail miserably.
