LeBron James set a new record on Monday night after becoming the youngest ever player in NBA history to score 25,000 career points.

The Cleveland superstar, 30, and in his 13th season, helped the Cavs to a 107-100 win over the Philadelphia 76ers while hitting his latest milestone along the way.

Despite playing through a bad back, LeBron threw down one of the most vicious alley-oop dunks we’ve seen for some time.

The emphatic bucket gave James 22 points for the game and took him to 25,001 for the career tally.

The former Miami Heat star’s efforts were recognised by the announcer over the sound system and he was given a standing ovation by the travelling support during the ensuing time-out.

You can check out the dunk in the video below.

Up next, LeBron and Co host the Knicks at the Quicken Loans Arena.

The Cavs will be hoping for plenty more of the same from their talisman on Thursday night.
