“Clearly Still a W*nker” – Rangers Fans Don’t Hold Back as Ian Black is Sent Off For Shrewsbury

“Clearly Still a W*nker” – Rangers Fans Don’t Hold Back as Ian Black is Sent Off For Shrewsbury

Ex-Rangers midfielder Ian Black was red carded during Shrewsbury’s match against Walsall tonight and it didn’t take long for Scottish football fans to stick the boot in.

Black was of course a highly controversial character during his spells at both Ibrox and at Hearts, as his tough-tackling and hot-headedness landed him in hot water on more than one occasion.

And it seems despite leaving Rangers at the end of last season, after the club failed to seal promotion to the Scottish Premiership, few supporters have forgotten or forgiven the fiery midfielder:

Black spent three years at Rangers, making 83 appearances and scoring 5 goals as the Gers attempted to make their way back to the top flight from the Third Division.

However after Rangers lost to Motherwell in last year’s play-off Black was released by the club and following unsuccessful trials at Berwick Rangers and Raith Rovers, the 30-year-old moved to Shrewsbury Town.
