Eden Hazard obviously thinks highly of Willian’s free-kicks – comparing the Chelsea set-piece taker to David Beckham.
It came as Hazard and Willian looked at one of their YouTube channel cameras before they trained with the club recently.
Hazard can be heard asking the camera “you know Willian Beckham? That’s him,” as he pointed at his Chelsea team-mate.
And that name should definitely be sticking with Blues fans who have been impressed by the Brazilian’s consistency at free-kicks this season.
His goal against Porto in the Champions League on Wednesday was his seventh of the season – and his first from open play after scoring six from free-kicks.
That run included big goals against Dynamo Kiev, Newcastle and Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
And it’s only right he’s compared to arguably the greatest free-kick taker ever in Beckham if he can continue that run of scoring from set-pieces:
Willian has been Chelsea’s standout performer in an otherwise underwhelming season and Jose Mourinho will need more players to perform like him on a regular basis if they’re to start climbing up the English Premier League.
