In case you’ve been a bit busy this afternoon, Gary Neville is the new manager of Valencia.
I know, we were as surprised as you. But just imaging how Phil Neville feels.
On Monday, following the resignation of boss Nuno Espirito Santo, Phil was essentially the La Liga side’s caretaker manager, with a mouthwatering tie against Barcelona in store on Saturday.
Fast forward to Wednesday, and the club have hired his big brother Gary as their new gaffer on a deal until the end of the season. Thems the breaks.
But one man who could be quickly forgotten during the hullabaloo of Gary’s appointment is his Sky Sports partner in crime Jamie Carragher, who now looks like he could be in for a few lonely Monday nights between now and the end of the season.
But the Liverpool legend was in top form as he wished his pal well…
Gutted! This reminds me of when Pegguy Arphexad left for Coventry. https://t.co/M535r7L2qo

In case you’re scratching your head, Arphexad was a back-up goalie who played just two games for Liverpool in three years and, for want of a better phrase, was a little bit rubbish (no offence, Pegguy).
Top bantz from Jamie.
