Jimmy Kimmel broke new ground when he got A-list celebrities on his show to read our mean tweets about themselves on camera.
But we’re surprised that Manchester City are one of the first football teams to get their players reading them out on camera.
As part of the club’s YouTube channel running an advent calendar of great videos every day, they got Vincent Kompany, Bacary Sagna, Eliaquim Mangala, Fabian Delph and Yaya Toure to read out their mean tweets.
And it made for great viewing – with Sagna particularly entertaining as he dealt with a comparison to an Eastenders character, criticisms of his hair and his playing style.
Delph also stares deadpan into the camera after most tweets concern his monotone voice and Kompany believes one of his tweets is most definitely from a Manchester United fan.
They won’t be receiving any bad tweets today though, after helping City finish off their Champions League campaign with a 4-2 win over Borussia Monchengladbach last night.
