Rangers fans are not happy with Willie Collum after the referee gave a penalty in their clash with Falkirk this afternoon despite the foul taking place outside the box.
The Bairns took a third-minute lead in the Ladbrokes Championship clash thanks to John Baird’s penalty.
But they can give a bigger thank you to Collum after he adjudged Danny Wilson’s tackle on Will Vaulks to have taken place inside the box.
At first glance, it looks close – but replays show the foul happens at least a yard outside the penalty box.
Anyway, Falkirk scored it and Rangers fans haven’t got any happier throughout the rest of the first-half.
Collum was this week confirmed as one of the referees going to Euro 2016 next summer and he appeared to miss a bad challenge on Gers midfielder Andy Halliday halfway through the first period.
Even the Falkirk fans weren’t happy with him at one stage as Mark O’Hara’s goalbound shot was touched home by Baird on the line, only for Collum and his assistant to rule it out. That looks like it was the right decision on replay though.
Rangers did manage to equalise through Barry McKay’s tidy volley in the 16th minute.
Now for the react to Collum’s disastrous first-half:
