Arsenal fans got their first real glimpse of new youngster Donyell Malen last week with his superb goal against Reading for the club’s Under-21 team.
And he’s followed that up with another impressive strike as the youth team beat West Brom 4-1 in the Youth Cup last Friday.
His goal against Reading was all about his electric pace and beautiful poise in front of goal to dink the goalkeeper.
And despite showing similar poise in his strike against West Brom, it was more of an example of his direct approach to finishing.
In case you don’t know, Malen was signed by Arsenal from Ajax in the summer and the 16-year-old Dutch striker was expected to play in their Under-18 team this season.
But he’s been turning out regularly in the age group above and must be impressing manager Arsene Wenger with his performances in front of goal.
