Twitter Reacts to News That David Moyes Looks Set to Take Over at Swansea City

Lets be honest, it’s not been a great season for Swansea City.

After an impressive eighth-place finish last season, Garry Monk’s men have failed to recapture the impressive form of 2014/15, and currently find themselves 15th in the table, just four points clear of the drop zone.

On top of all that, Monk’s position has been under constant threat this season, with yesterday’s 3-0 defeat at home to Leicester City said to be the final straw for the club’s hierarchy.

And the embattled coach won’t have been too pleased to wake up this morning and find that most national newspapers seemed to be under the impression that his job was soon to be David Moyes’s job, with various reports linking the former Everton and Manchester United boss to the post.

Some outlets even seem to be under the impression that Moyes – sacked by Real Sociedad last month – is already in talks with chairman Huw Jenkins already, despite Monk still in his position…

As you’d expect, the internet had a very strong opinion on it all…
