Video: Brad Malone Hits The Ice After Devastating Punch From Devils’ Jordin Tootoo

It was no surprise really when Jordin Tootoo got into it with the Carolina Hurricanes’ Brad Malone on Thursday night.

The New Jersey Devils have picked up 11 fighting majors already this year, with almost half of them coming from Tootoo, who has five himself.

With his side leading 4-1 in the second period at the PNC Arena, Tootoo’s mitts came off as he got a grip of Malone.

Malone, of course, is no stranger to some fisticuffs himself, picking up three fighting majors during this campaign so far.

But he came off second best by some margin in this fight, which didn’t last long at all.

After trading a few shots to the body, Tootoo landed a devastating punch to the face of Malone, dropping the forward to the ice to end the bout.

The last angle in this video appears to show Tootoo punching Malone so hard that parts of his visor actually broke off of the helmet.

You can check it out in the video below.
