Video: Commentator Sings ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’ As Hockey Stars Fight

Hockey announcer Jack Edwards was clearly in the Christmas spirit on Tuesday night as the Boston Bruins hosted the St Louis Blues.

And he wasn’t about to let a little scrap on the ice dampen his festive cheer. In fact, if anything, it actually increased his level of holiday spirit.

During the third period of the Blues’ 2-0 win, Boston’s Tyler Randell and St Louis’ Ryan Reaves threw down the gloves and went at it.

But as the pair got into it, Edwards can be heard in the background providing the soundtrack with a cheery rendition of We Wish You A Merry Christmas.

What’s even worse is that he actually sounds like he’s taking a lot of pleasure out of it.

The short fight was a hard one to call, with Reaves landing the better of the punches before both men were escorted off the ice.
