Massimo Maccarone really is in the form of his life.
The former Middlesbrough striker helped make history for Empoli on Saturday as his two goals sealed a 3-2 away victory over Bologna, their fourth Serie A win in a row.
It’s the first time in Empoli’s 95-year history that they have won four top-flight Italian matches consecutively, and they now find themselves hitting the dizzy heights of 6th place in the table.
But Maccarone perhaps took celebrations slightly too far after he was caught on camera swigging a beer DURING the match.
After scoring his second goal, he ran to his bench and celebrated with team-mates, before sneaking off and tanning a swift half, whilst he presumably thought no one was looking.

The win leaves Empoli just two points behind Roma, and, incredibly, they are now just five points behind Napoli who occupy the division’s third Champions League spot.
