The lads at Wolverhampton Wanderers are really getting into the Christmas spirit.
The club are enduring a bit of a rotten season after challenging for promotion to the Premier League last season, and currently find themselves languishing in 17th position in The Championship.
But despite their current form, the squad starred in a local Christmas carol service on Tuesday by singing fans’ chants along with fans from several schools.
Former Arsenal striker Benik Afobe – who has been in blistering form this campaign, unlike his team-mates – gave another lung-bursting performance, as many of the team’s players indulged themselves in the true fan experience by singing along to chants performed by young children.
Some of the chants featured are ‘Glory, Glory Wolverhampton’, as well as a classic based around club legend Stevie Bull.
Hopefully the experience will help lift the club clear of the drop zone, with crucial matches against Reading and Charlton coming up over the festive period.
