Wojciech Szczesny Breaks Two-Year Twitter Silence to Deny Girlfriend Rumours

Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has slipped from the public radar this year, with the Arsenal goalkeeper currently out on loan in Serie A with AS Roma.

However, the Poland international is still keeping an eye on what’s going on back home and especially what is being said about his love life.

The Sport Bible wrote an article this week, claiming that the 25-year-old is currently dating a woman in Rome after the two were spotted together.

And you could say it was a cracking story after the Tweet they published showed the shot-stopper posing with a woman who’s bum was clearly on show in a bizarre low-cut dress:

However, Woj soon caught wind of these rumours and quickly put them to bed – breaking an almost two-year long social media silence in the process.

The former Legia Warsaw youngster replied by confirming the woman in the photo definitely ISN’T his girlfriend:

And The Sport Bible gave as good as they got with a hilarious dig at the goalkeeper’s handling ability:

Thankfully Szczesny took it all in good spirit and was seemingly more than happy to have a bit of banter with the website.

Szczesny may have confirmed his relationship status but his footballing future is a little less clear, with Roma reportedly looking to cancel his loan deal despite various impressive performances.

And with Petr Cech in the midst of an outstanding season for Arsenal, it seems unlikely he would find the prospect of returning to the Emirates just to sit on the bench an appealing one.
