Bastian Schweinsteiger has a new name for Wayne Rooney after his brilliant winning goal for Manchester United against Swansea today – Mr Heel.
The English striker hit a much-needed winner for United in the 2-1 victory and with that moved out on his own as the second-highest scorer in the club’s history and the second-highest in Premier League history too.
It’s been a difficult time of late for everyone at Old Trafford, and Rooney has been no different – failing to score in six games before breaking that duck today.
He met Anthony Martial’s low cross in the box with a beautiful backheel to get the winner for United.
And that’s why Schweinsteiger is now calling him Mr Heel as they share a selfie on Twitter:

There’s a nickname that should stick.
It must be good for United fans to see a deservedly positive reaction come from the squad after weeks of trying to put a positive spin on disappointing results.
