East Kilbride Trolled By Rivals After Potential Draw With Celtic in Scottish Cup

The Scottish Cup draw took place today and, although an Old Firm tie was avoided and no fixtures were exactly mouth-watering, there were certainly a number of games to get viewers excited.

As well as Rangers being given another chance to show what they’ve got against top flight opposition in their tie against Kilmarnock, an Edinburgh derby will also take place as Hearts and Hibs were pulled out in the end.

However, the talk of the draw was non-league East Kilbride’s possible fixture with Scottish champions Celtic in the last 16 – as long as they are able to get past Lothian Thistle in the fourth round following the match being postponed on Saturday afternoon.

It was a massive coup for the part timers and if they manage to get past their current opponents then they face a home tie against the Scottish giants, however, their geographical rivals couldn’t help but get a dig in following the draw.

East Kilbride Milan took to Twitter to say that Celtic better phone up to try and book their pitch as it is always block booked before adding that they were delighted to see the second biggest team in East Kilbride take on the biggest team in Glasgow.

A hint of jealousy there?
