Liverpool Fans Call Up Everton Ticket Office Asking For Capital One Cup Final Briefs

Some Liverpool fans called up Everton’s ticket office this week trying to buy briefs for the Capital One Cup Final at the end of February.

But it was just all part of a wind-up for the unlucky guy that answered the call.

We saw a Manchester City fan do it to his United counterparts after their Champions League exit at the start of December last year.

Then a United fan responded by phoning up the box office of his city rivals to enquire about a tour of their Champions League trophy – but they obviously don’t have one.

Now it’s the turn of a few cheeky Liverpool fans who called up the Everton ticket office following the Goodison Park side’s Capital One Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday.

At one point Everton led City 3-1 on aggregate after Ross Barkley’s second-leg opener increased their 2-1 lead from the first-leg.

But City fought back to win the tie 4-3 over two legs thanks to goals on the night from Fernandinho, Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Aguero.

So if Everton fans weren’t miserable enough, this should do the trick:

Now for some Everton supporters to plot their comeback.

Liverpool will be in the final so are in a position to goad their rivals.

Jurgen Klopp led his side to a penalty shootout victory over Stoke on Tuesday after the aggregate score finished 1-1 at Anfield.
