Man Arrested at NHL Match Carrying Sword, Meat Cleaver, Crossbow and Catapult

Man Arrested at NHL Match Carrying Sword, Meat Cleaver, Crossbow and Catapult

We’ve all heard of sports fans letting players know they aren’t happy but this is ridiculous.

We probably shouldn’t joke because lord knows what this hockey fan had planned when he was arrested at an NHL match on New Year’s Day.

The supporter in question was carrying a bizarre assortment of weapons  when he was stopped by security as he tried to enter NHL’s annual Winter Classic between the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens at the Gillette Stadium in Boston.

Foxborough Police Department  have released a photo of the haul seized from a 48-year-old man in the arena’s car park, and it’s not for the faint hearted.

After several swords, a catapult, meat cleaver and cross bow were all found on his person, the fan has been charged with serious weapons charges, and could face a lengthy spell behind bars.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, the Montreal Canadiens beat the Bruins 5-1 on the day.
