Julian Edelman looks set to return for the New England Patriots just in time for the NFL playoffs kicking off this weekend.
And it’s about time they got excited as footage has emerged from today’s practise which shows the wide receiver looking quick in a catching drill.
Edelman missed eight regular season games as the Pats went 12-4 on their way to their playoff match-up with the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday.
He had to sit out those games after breaking a bone in his foot against the New York Jets in November and quarterback Tom Brady has had a real lack of options on offense since.
But Edelman has been cleared to play against the Chiefs, as reported by si.com, and he’s looking in great shape if this video from the Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe is anything to go by:

News of Edelman’s return will be music to the ears of Patriots fans with legitimate aspirations of lifting another Super Bowl next month.
