Nike Golf has snapped up Australian star Ryan Ruffels – the youngest player to ever play on the PGA Tour.
The 17-year-old Aussie golfer is taking part in the Farmers Insurance Open this week in his first competition on the Tour.
He actually shot an opening round 70 to ensure he goes into day two of the tournament at Torrey Pines two under par.
Ruffels is wearing Nike “head to toe” this weekend and will do for the foreseeable future after the golf giant announced they’d signed him up to their talented roster.
He’s the son of two professional tennis players and was born in the United States before moving to Australia at a young age.

Just two years ago, at the age of 15, he took victory in the Australian Boys’ Amateur and became the youngest player to win the Riversdale Cup.
Additionally, he earned top-25 finishes at the Australian Open in both 2013 and 2014.
These are the clubs Ruffels will be swinging with at Nike:
• Driver: Nike Vapor Fly 9.5-degree
• Fairway Wood: Nike Vapor Fly 3-wood 15-degree
• Irons: Nike Vapor Fly Pro (3), Nike Vapor Pro Combo (4), Nike Vapor Pro (5-9)
