Usain Bolt is probably the most famous Manchester United fan on the planet.
The world’s fastest man has never hidden his love for the Old Trafford club, and even hinted that he’d genuinely be interested in a Red Devils trial.
Whilst a bold career change has never quite taken place, Bolt has remained a keen spectator of his beloved team’s fortunes and it turns out he really isn’t a fan of Louis van Gaal.
United’s form under the Dutchman has been up-and-down to say the least, with the club currently fifth in the table, and eliminated from the Champions League.
And Bolt even goes as far as to say that he would turn down a professional contract, in the unlikely event that the club’s hierarchy were to offer it.
Speaking with the media at the Jamaican Sportsman of the Year awards, the 29-year-old said via espnfc.co.uk:
“Well, looking at how Van Gaal is, I don’t think I would ever want to be coached by him so I think I will put that on pause until we get a new coach.”
Wow. Harsh words. Louis van Gaal has yet another critic, and one he probably least expected.
It would appear the six-time Olympic gold medallist and 11-time world champion is certainly not being entertained.
