There are bad losers, then there’s this Carolina Panthers fan who smashed up his TV after losing Super Bowl 50 to the Denver Broncos.
The video of the unnamed man dealing out some severe punishment to his flatscreen TV is going viral in the wake of Denver securing its third Super Bowl trophy yesterday.
The crazy moment came in the fourth quarter of the 24-10 win for Denver as C.J. Anderson went in for a two-yard touchdown with just 3.08 left on the clock.
At the time, Carolina still had faint hopes of picking up their first Vince Lombardi Trophy as they trailed 16-10 after three quarters of mistake-laden football on offense.
But their strong defense could do nothing to stop Anderson stretching for the line to give Denver a 12-point lead.
It was obviously devastating for everyone connected to the Panthers, including cornerback Josh Norman – who cried at the end of the game – and quarterback Cam Newton, who walked out of his post-match press conference.
Yet neither of those players were as upset as this Panthers supporter who smashed up his TV in front of his family.
Someone should probably explain to him that this is all just a game!
