Director of ‘Senna’ and ‘Amy’ to Make Movie About Steven Gerrard’s Career

Steven Gerrard is setto take Hollywood by storm – and not with LA Galaxy.

The Liverpool icon is set to be the subject of a movie about his life and career, with the lauded maker of hit films ‘Amy’ and ‘Senna’ set to take the helm.

According to The Sun, acclaimed director Asif Kapadia will make the flick, and it will focus its attention on Gerrard’s incredible 17 seasons at Anfield – and in particular that night in Istanbul.

The likes of Kenny Dalglish, David Beckham, Wayne Rooney and Sven-Goran Eriksson are all set for cameos and will contribute their own take on the midfielder’s trophy-laden career.

Multi award winner Kapadia took home a whole host of gongs for his visionary takes on the lives of Amy Winehouse and Ayrton Senna, with Senna winning Best Documentary at the 2012 BAFTAs.

What do you think of the news? Will you go and see Stevie G up on the big screen?
