“Is It April Fools Day?” – Former Celt Bobby Petta Baffled By Kazim-Richards Signing

“Is It April Fools Day?” – Former Celt Bobby Petta Baffled By Kazim-Richards Signing

After almost getting the Celtic fans back on his side following recent performances, including an 8-1 thrashing of Hamilton, Ronny Deila found himself back in the firing line yesterday after his side’s shock League Cup semi-final exit at the hands of Ross County.

The Hoops were odds-on favourites to sweep the lot this season, meaning the Norwegian would be only the third manager to have lifted a treble with the club, however, another Efe Ambrose disaster left them on the end of a 3-1 defeat to the Staggies.

Fans were desperate for new signings and the addition of Manchester City starlet Patrick Roberts had the majority of fans excited, but when rumours began circulating that Feyenoord bad boy Colin Kazim-Richards was on his way to Glasgow, people had mixed emotions.

One man who is bemused by the signing of the Turkish international is former Celtic winger Bobby Petta who took to Twitter to ask if it was April Fool’s day.

The Dutchman was vocal after yesterday’s defeat and it seems the addition of the 29-year-old attacker has done nothing to make him feel better about the future of the club:

Kazim-Richards hasn’t even kicked a ball and his signing is already being called into question. Maybe we should see him play first?
