It’s probably fair to say things aren’t going too well for Memphis Depay at Manchester United.
The Dutch winger was signed by the Old Trafford club last summer to much fanfare, and was supposed to be the Red Devils’ answer to Arjen Robben or Marc Overmars.
But, it hasn’t gone to plan, with the 21-year-old losing his starting spot to Jesse Lingard in recent months, and failing to convince United fans that he is the potentially world class talent they were led to believe.
But it looks like the club’s supporters have well and truly turned their collective back on Depay following yesterday’s match at Chelsea.
Winning 1-0 in injury time, Depay, who had came on as a substitute, launched a United counter attack but rather than heading for the corner flag to waste time, he attempted a difficult through-ball which was easily intercepted and Chelsea ventured up the field to score the equaliser through Diego Costa.
Lets just hope Depay didn’t check his Wikipedia page this morning:
The page has since been changed back to what it was originally, but we reckon he got the point.
