Michael O’Halloran Says He Never Had Any Doubts About Joining Rangers

Rangers today confirmed the signing of Michael O’Halloran from St. Johnstone on a deal until 2020.

The wide attacker finally completed his move from the Saints to Ibrox following a series of lengthy protracted negotiations, and goes straight into the Gers’ squad for tomorrow night’s clash against Raith Rovers.

St. Johnstone are thought to have previously rejected several bids from Rangers in this transfer window for the 25-year-old Scotland Under-21 international, who spent his youth career with Celtic then Bolton Wanderers.

He was loaned to three English clubs before joining St Johnstone in January 2014 and scored 16 goals in 89 appearances for his now-former club, with his lightning-quick pace catching the eye.

Speaking to the Rangers website today, as per the video above, he admitted that there were times when he wasn’t sure what the future held, but insisted he never had any doubt about joining the Glasgow giants.

Following the announcement, manager Mark Warburton addressed the media, hailing the capture as exactly what he and the club were looking for…
