PSG Suspend Serge Aurier After He Admits Homophobic Comments About Blanc and Ibrahimovic

If you’re having a rough Valentine’s Day then it’s important to remember it could be worse – you could be Serge Aurier.

The PSG defender has been suspended by his club following bizarre allegations that he went on a homophobic rant about manager Laurent Blanc and Zlatan Ibrahimovic during a session on Periscope on Saturday night, where he was also said to insult several other team-mates.

As per our story earlier today, the right-back appeared to initially deny the claims, before admitting making the comments later in the day.

And now, with the club set to take on Chelsea this Tuesday in the last-16 of the Champions League, the PSG power brokers have decided to suspend the Ivory Coast international, pending an inquiry.

Aurier has enjoyed a strong season for the French giants, playing a pivotal part both domestically, and in Europe.

But now his career at the club seems genuinely in doubt, and he will definitely miss the clash against Chelsea.
