Yaya Sanogo and Ajax parted ways yesterday, halfway through a season-long loan spell from Arsenal.
The Gunners striker was due to stay in Holland until the end of the season, but that spell was ended early and he last night signed for English Championship outfit Charlton until the summer.
Why was Sanogo cut off from Ajax so early? Him managing just 30 Eredivisie touches in his six-month career with the Dutch giants should explain it.

He made just three appearances in the league for Frank de Boer’s men and counts the Champions League away win at Celtic as his only outing in European competition.
And he managed no goals, which can’t come as a surprise considering he only had six touches in total in the box over the Eredivisie campaign so far.
Here, Dutch Opta Sports editor Bart Frouws has shared all of Sanogo’s touches in the league for Ajax in one handy wall chart:

Charlton fans will be hoping he can perform much better when he turns out for their side in the remainder of the Championship campaign.
