UFC president Dana White has been forced to deny that Conor McGregor is a user of steroids.
McGregor has become UFC’s most bankable global star in the last 12 months, after a scintillating 2015 which saw him rocket to the forefront of the public’s consciousness.
After knocking Jose Aldo out in just 13 seconds at UFC194, the Irishman is gearing up for his first fight since, with Nate Diaz taking the role of his opponent after Rafeal Dos Anjos pulled out due to a broken foot.
The pair were face-to-face at their public media conference last night and engaged in the usual trash talking and goading, but Diaz took things a step further by saying that McGregor was on steroids:

As you can see, McGregor really didn’t like the accusation and, as you can imagine, an accusation like that could soon grow arms and legs and begin damaging the sport’s reputation.
So, with that in mind, White thought it best to shut down any rumours before they even started, and stuck up for McGregor’s integrity.
He told TMZ Sports: “The UFC unquestionably has the best drug testing program in all of sports.
“All done by the United States Anti-Doping Association.
“If you are cheating, you get caught.”
Who knows – maybe Diaz is the first fighter to really get under McGregor’s skin…even if it was by using some questionable tactics.
The pair face off at UFC196 which is in Las Vegas on March 5.
