Another Celtic Team Named.. Another Notable Patrick Roberts Exclusion

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has chosen not to start Patrick Roberts again for his side’s Scottish Premiership clash with Partick Thistle this afternoon.

The young Manchester City attacker has been with the club since January after joining on an 18-month loan deal.

And despite already impressing the Hoops fans, he’s started just one game in three appearances.

That Celtic team was revealed on Twitter earlier and the reaction hasn’t been pleasant after supporters saw Roberts was only on the bench.

Here are some of the tweets:

Added to Roberts’ exclusion, there were no places on the bench for Ryan Christie or Scott Allan – much to the disgust of some Celtic fans.

It’s even harder for some to stomach when you consider James Forrest is currently against signing a new deal at the club yet continues to be named on the bench by Deila.

And the Hoops boss better hope the team he names can beat a strong Partick team at Firhill as they look to maintain or extend the one-point gap to Aberdeen in second place.
