“Another Wasted Season” – Derby Fans Really Don’t Want Tim Sherwood as Their Next Manager

Derby sacked Paul Clement in February after the Championship club went seven games without a win.

Academy Director Darren Wassall was then given the keys to the first team, but it looks like the club may be about to land a long-term replacement – ex-Aston Villa and Spurs boss Tim Sherwood.

While Sherwood is often credited for instilling a sense of belief in his players, Villa captain Micah Richards leaped to the defence of his former coach after his sacking, the Englishman is equally criticised for his gung-ho tactics.

And after being shown the door by the worst team in the Premier League, some fans are of the opinion that Sherwood is on the decline.

And by some fans, we mean Derby fans… and a lot of them apparently.

When the rumour broke that Sherwood was in line to take the Rams job, supporters signed into their Twitter accounts to share their opinions of the 47-year-old:

 

Derby currently sit 5th in the Championship table, and despite the uncertainty over the coaching staff, the club continue to fight for a play-off spot.
