Carlton Cole played in Mark Noble’s testimonial this afternoon and has received criticism from some for being arguably the worst player on the park.
And that’s despite the former Hammers striker still playing with Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
A host of ex-West Ham stars were back at Upton Park earlier to take part in the tribute to Noble for his 13-year service to the club.
Paolo Di Canio, Julian Dicks, Trevor Sinclair and Rio Ferdinand were among the old players to play against Slaven Bilic’s existing squad.
But despite plenty of them having retired years ago, they still looked better than Cole.
As you’d expect, he’s been receiving some criticism on Twitter for his performance.
And it perhaps gives an insight into why he’s not appeared for Celtic since coming on as a substitute in their 8-1 win over Hamilton in January.
